Scaffolding

The Minster east end under repair and renovation.

At all times some part of the Minster exterior is undergoing repair and renovation. At this time (2006-8) it is the east end (seen here enveloped in scaffolding) and including the 23 m (76 ft) high and 10 m (23 ft) wide Great East Window of 1405-8, the largest single area of medieval stained glass in the world.
