The Minster

From the south east

The minster is the largest Gothic Cathedral in Northern Europe. It's medieval stained glass is unparalleled, and in the new crypt are the remains of the Roman Basilica Principiorum, the main headquarter offices of the Roman fortress of Eboracum.

On the left is the south west tower of 1435+, then the south trancespt of 1220-40, the central tower of 1407-70, and just appearing on the right, the choir of 1373-1405.
