64-72 Goodramgate

14th century Lady Row

Built around 1320, the houses in this row are the oldest in York. They were built on the churchyard of Holy Trinity church to raise money for the church. House numbers 64-72 are much as built being of two story timber framed construction. There were originally 11 bays built, with the one on the end to the south being demolished to make way for the new gate into the churchyard in the mid-18th century. (Ref. 1)
