St Crux

St Crux Parish Hall.

St Crux (the Cross) was a very fine medieval church which stood on this site. It was demolished in 1887 as unsafe despite attempts to save it. The Parish Hall was built of the stone from the church and includes a number of the monuments from the church.

A portion of the medieval church wall can be seen on the left as a part of number 23 Shambles.
