Lengthy (for York within the walls) street running south east from Foss Bridge (Fossgate) to Walmgate Bar.

Contains St. Denys' church (Norman door pictured) and the late 14th century Bowes Morrell House (pictured). At its south eastern end is Walmgate Bar, the last gate in York to retain its full barbican (pictured).
