Gate pillars of 17th century house.The house was built in the late 17th century but had disappeared by the mid-19th leaving only these pillars from the boundary wall. In the background are modern houses built to bring residential dwelling back within the walls in areas until recently dominated by 19th century factories and warehouses. Photo: taken 4 June 2007. |
