Minster

South Transept

This is the view from Petergate looking through Minster Gates to the South Door of the Minster, showing the beautiful Rose Window (Early 16th century).

Despite what the clock says, the photo is timed at 6.35 am! Early Sunday morning is one of the few times in the week when the streets of York are almost free from traffic and pedestrians.
