Chapter House

13th century.

The Chapter House is where the every day business of the Minster was conducted. It was begun in 1260 and took about 30 years to build. It is octagonal in shape, a superb example of the Decorated Gothic style and contains many fine carvings, mostly dating from 1270 to 80. (Ref. Internet sources)
