35, 36 The Shambles

15th century

Timber framed and jettied built in the late 15th century in front of a set-back house built in the 14th century.

The house contains a shride dedicated to St. Margaret Clitherow but this was not her home which was across and along the Shambles at number 10,11 (initially a single house).
