Library Square contains the York Public Library and (on the right) York City Council Finance offices.
The library building was opened in 1927 and was extended in 1934 and 1938. (Ref. 2)

This is the site of St. Leonard's Hospital and the remains of the infirmary can be seen on the left.

A path leading to St. Leonard's Infirmary and the Bar Walls leads off to the left of the building.
