Bartle Garth.

Across St Andrewgate is the ancient St Andrew's church building.

St. Andrew,s church was mentioned in the Domesday book. It remained in use until 1586 when the parish was combined with St. Saviour's. By the early 18th century it was reported that one end of the building was being used as a stable and the other as a brothal. For 100 years from 1736 the building was used by St. Peter's School. Currently it is again used as a church by an evangelical congregation.
