Chapter House Street.

The street lies on the course of the Roman via decumana which is about 3.6 m (12 ft) beneath the current road level and which lead to a gate in the fortification wall and on to Derventio (Malton).

On the right is a house of 15th century origin, whilst beyond that (barely in sight) on the right the house is medieval.
