Market Street forms the beginning of a series of roads running just outside and to the south east of the old Roman Walls and continuing along Jubbergate, Newgate and St. Andrewgate.

Ahead Parliament Street crosses. Turning to the left onto Parliament Street heads towards St. Sampson's Square, and turning to the right heads towards Pavement. Across Parliament Street straight ahead is Jubbergate.
