Parliament Street is pedestrianised.

A relatively new (for York) street, cut through from Pavement to St Sampson's Square in 1835 to form a much bigger market area than Pavement or Thursday market (St. Sampson's Square) could. The earliest buildings on the street date from this time.

St. Sampson's Square is ahead with Feasegate (leading to Market Street and Coney Street) on the left and Church Street leading to King's Square on the right.
